The festive season can bring financial pressure, and scammers know it. They often advertise quick loans with “guaranteed approval” or “no credit checks” to lure victims.

✅ Warning signs to look out for:

Requests for upfront fees or payment via gift cards or vouchers.

Pressure to act immediately or risk losing the offer.

Poor grammar or vague contact details in adverts or messages.

Stay safe:

Only use trusted lenders regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Never share personal or banking details with unknown sources.

If an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Report suspicious activity to Action Fraud or US.
